LeBron James and Steph Curry linked up early before their Christmas Day showdown on Wednesday at the Case Center. As Curry warmed up at shoot-around and made some 3s, LeBron jogged out of the tunnel and immediately rushed to block one of Curry's attempts.

The two engaged in a warm and brief exchange, wishing each other well ahead of their marquee showdown, their first matchup on Christmas since 2018. LeBron and Curry had fans revisiting trade talks surrounding the Lakers star potentially moving to Golden State.

The initial rumors were out in February this year at the trade deadline when the Warriors inquired. Those talks erupted again amid the Lakers and Warriors' uneven records nearly 30 games into the season.

Here's what one fan wrote after LeBron James and Steph Curry's warm embrace went viral on Instagram:

LeBron James reacts to putting up another epic battle against Steph Curry

LeBron James and Steph Curry gave the NBA fans an incredible Christmas Day game on Wednesday. While LeBron's Lakers bagged the 115-113 win, Curry received just as much praise if not more for his exploits. He scored 38 points, including eight straight in the clutch to tie the game 118-118 with eight seconds left.

However, his 8-of-15 3-point shooting night was canceled by an Austin Reaves game-winner. Meanwhile, LeBron had a solid game, too. He carried the load for the Lakers' offense with Anthony Davis exiting the game early, LeBron had 31 points and 10 assists on 52.4% shooting.

LeBron reflected on his latest duel with Curry after the game, saying:

"We don't know how many times we're going to be able to have this matchup. We don't know how many times we're gonna step on the floor, but when we do, we'll try to give them (fans) a game that they deserve."

LeBron James moved to 3-1 on Christmas Day games against Steph Curry after Wednesday's win. However, the Warriors star still holds the advantage in their head-to-head meetings with a 29-24 record.
