Trae Young is the latest of a long list of New York Knicks fans' biggest rivals, including players like Reggie Miller and Kobe Bryant. Young's rivalry with the Knicks dates back to the 2020-21 NBA Playoffs when Trae's Atlanta Hawks topped New York in five games in the opening round of postseason play.

Young Averaged 29.2 points and 9.8 assists on 44% shooting in a dominant series performance that included a game-winning floater in Game 1 at Madison Square Garden. Knicks fans showered the Hawks guard with "F--k Trae Young" chants, and the rivalry was born.

On Wednesday night, Young fueled the fire following Atlanta's 121-116 win over the Knicks. During his postgame interview at State Farm Arena, Young trolled New York fans with a hilarious quote.

On receiving boos, Young mocked Knicks fans, saying:

"Boo! Take y'all a** home."

Atlanta got a big performance from its star point guard, who finished as the Hawks' second-leading scorer. In 35 minutes of action, Young posted 23 points, 10 assists and six rebounds on 7-of-21 shooting, grabbing two steals on the defensive side of the ball.

The Hawks were led by No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher, who finished with a team-high 33 points on 11-of-18 shooting, connecting on 6-of-10 3-point attempts. He also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists. Jalen Johnson also shone with a 23-point, 15-rebound, seven-assist effort on 10-of-18 shooting.

The Hawks bounced back with a win after suffering a blowout loss to the Boston Celtics on Monday night, advancing to 4-5 on the season. Atlanta handed the Knicks their second-straight loss and fourth in seven games this year.

Trae Young and Atlanta will look to build on the momentum from their win entering Friday night's road matchup versus the Detroit Pistons.
