Trey Jemison III made his LA Lakers debut on Friday during the team's 102-101 win against the Brooklyn Nets at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The 6-foot-10 center came off the bench as Jaxson Hayes moved into the starting lineup to fill the void left by Anthony Davis' absence.
Jemison brought energy and intensity to the court in the first half after being subbed in by coach JJ Redick. The former Memphis Grizzlies center made his presence felt in the paint, contributing on the boards and using his size to protect the rim.
In just under seven minutes of first-half action, the Lakers' two-way player didn’t score or attempt a shot but grabbed two defensive rebounds and recorded one block, showcasing his defensive focus and effort.

JJ Redick on Trey Jemison
The Lakers recently signed Trey Jemison to a two-way contract following the release of guard Quincy Olivari. After the signing was finalized, coach JJ Redick shared his thoughts on the new addition, highlighting how he plans to incorporate Jemison’s size and presence into the team’s frontcourt rotation.
"First of all, big body and plays extremely hard," Redick said. "Trey gives us another body, another physical player.
"I think he's gonna have an opportunity, at times, to be out there with AD. He's gonna have an opportunity, at times, to play solo big, depending on who's available."
Jemison made just the 42nd NBA appearance of his career on Friday. He had earlier played for the Grizzlies, Pelicans and Washington Wizards.
