Tristan Thompson defends LeBron James after Mario Chalmers' comments
Tristan Thompson and LeBron James have always shared a special relationship over their time in the NBA. That's why Thompson commented on the remarks made by Mario Chalmers.
Thompson was selected fourth in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He became a respectable big man during his first three years, averaging 10.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
After James left the Miami Heat and re-joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2014-15 season, he spent the next four seasons in Cleveland, growing his friendship with Thompson as a teammate.
In each of the four seasons in which Thompson and James played together, they made the NBA Finals, including winning the 2016 championship over the Golden State Warriors.
Thompson is still looking to find the next stop of his basketball journey. According to reports, Thompson worked out for the LA Lakers, suggesting a potential reunion between the former teammates. However, the Lakers reportedly have "no imminent plans" to sign anyone at the moment.
