High-flying Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant was left impressed by Colorado Buffaloes American Football player and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter's hops. Although the NCAA American Football season is over, Hunter and Buffaloes teammate Shedeur Sanders were honored by the Buffaloes basketball team on Saturday.
As part of the game, Hunter and Sanders suited up in full basketball uniforms before giving fans a show, throwing down some impressive dunks. While the two didn't play collegiate basketball for Colorado, their display was enough to impress Ja Morant.
In response to one clip of Hunter throwing down a between-the-legs dunk, Ja Morant wrote:

Other footage of Hunter and Sanders on the court also surfaced, with Sanders throwing a lob off the glass to Hunter, who threw down a one-handed slam during warmups, before the actual Colorado basketball game against Bellarmine.
This, of course, isn't the first time that Hunter has left fans impressed with his skills on the basketball court. While the expectation is that he will be drafted in the NFL Draft now that his collegiate career on the field is done, he's shown that he has skills on the basketball court as well.
Two months ago resurfaced footage of Hunter tearing it up on the court went viral as he crossed up defenders, drained deep shots, and threw down dunks.
Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley reacts to Travis Hunter wanting to play both ways in the NFL despite athleticism that has impressed Ja Morant
After wrapping up his NCAA career with Colorado, Travis Hunter is now preparing to make the jump to the NFL. According to the Heisman winner, he wants to play on both offense and defense in the NFL, just like he did in college.
During Thursday's episode of Inside the NBA, Hall of Famer Charles Barkley discussed the situation with special guest, NFL legend Champ Bailey. The way Barkley sees things, there's a big difference between playing on both offense and defense in college, and in the NFL.
“It’s just too physically demanding. It’s not playing against boys in college, [you’re] playing against grown a*s men in the NFL. I see him getting a shot to do it because he’s young, he’s capable but we have to be real as you said it these are grown men out here. You got to understand”
In response, Bailey said that he thinks Hunter finds his home on the defensive end of the gridiron despite proving himself as an offensive threat this season with Colorado.
While he has athleticism that has impressed Ja Morant, and fans alike, Hunter may have to make a tough decision when it comes to the professional level.
