Team USA advanced to the final of the men's basketball competition in the 2024 Olympics with a thrilling comeback win against Serbia on Thursday.
Steph Curry kicked things off, knocking down an elbow jumper from a LeBron James pass for his first points. Bogdan Bogdanovic quickly came down the other end to match him.
Curry came out of the gates scorching hot, scoring 14 of Team USA's 15 points. However, Serbia continued to keep pace. They kept up with Curry's barrage by knocking down five of their first six attempts from beyond the arc.
Team USA was unable to get much offense outside of Curry, and Serbia managed to build an eight-point lead at the end of the first quarter.

Anthony Edwards kicked off the second quarter with an elbow jumper to end a cold spell for the United States. On the other end, the second unit upped the intensity on defense to make life tougher for Serbia.
Nikola Jokic and company continued to grow their lead by raining down shots from beyond the arc. The Denver Nuggets star also made his presence felt in the post by drawing numerous fouls and dishing six first-half assists.
LeBron James and Joel Embiid showed some signs of life, but the United States failed to keep up with Serbia's 3-point barrage and found themselves down 54-43 at halftime.
The halftime break didn't do much for Team USA, as their offensive struggles continued. Curry continued to lead the offense with his eight made 3-pointers. Serbia missed its first couple of shots of the second half, but quickly found the mark again from deep.
At one point, it looked like the United States was back within striking distance. However, Serbia managed to end the third quarter on a high note and extended its lead to 13.
Down double-digits heading into the final quarter, time was running out for Team USA. Their offense continued to stall aside from Curry and LeBron.
With their backs against the wall, though, the star-studded roster finally came alive. Thanks to a strong push led by Joel Embiid, they tied the game up with three-and-a-half minutes to go.
Team USA managed to completely swing the momentum in the final minutes. Curry continued his offensive onslaught, racking up 34 points on 63% shooting.
Despite leading for most of the game, Serbia was unable to come away with a win. Thanks to a complete turnaround in the final minutes, Steve Kerr's side emerged with a 95-91 win to go to the gold medal game, where it will take on France.
