Used to play on my AAU team" - Russell Westbrook roasts 23 yo Jalen Green for treating him like a 'little a** kid' 

Russell Westbrook chatted it up with Jalen Green, and there weren't pleasantries exchanged between the two when the Denver Nuggets hosted the Houston Rockets at the Ball Arena on Wednesday. The former MVP roasted the Rockets star during the third quarter with 24 seconds remaining.

The trash-talk started with Green coming into Westbrook's view when the mercurial guard talked to the Houston bench. The veteran didn't hold back.

"God damn boy. He used to play on my AAU team talking to me like I’m a little ass kid."

The roast then became a tad serious when Westbrook's expression went from mockery to fury. In the end, the Green and the Rockets had the last laugh as they trounced the Nuggets 128-108.

Russell Westbrook had a good outing with 17 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Jamal Murray and Christian Braun had 22 points each with Nikola Jokic ruled out of the matchup with an elbow injury he sustained during the matchups. Green also won the scoring battle over the former Rocket with 34 points and five rebounds.

He came into Wednesday's matchup just eight points shy of Carter for the 21st spot and had an impressive 12-point first half to overtake him. Up next is Boston Celtics icon Kevin Garnett trailing him by 351 points.

Westbrook's maiden stint with the Nuggets has been a solid season. He inked a two-year, $6.7 million deal, making it one of the more low-risk moves in the league. However, the electric guard has shown glimpses of his vintage side as he formed a reliable offensive weapon alongside Jokic and Murray.

Through 18 starts this season, the 35-year-old is averaging 14.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 7.9 assists, and has been the difference-maker for Denver which's been in desperate need of reliable pieces around Jokic. The 9x All-Star and 2016-17 NBA MVP has had a HOFer career and moved to Denver with hopes of winning his first NBA championship.
