Victor Wembanyama sent his fans into a frenzy after he asked them out to meet him at Washington Square Park. The San Antonio Spurs star has been in great form in his second season in the league.
Wembanyama made a post from his X, formerly Twitter, handle and asked his fans to play chess with him.
"Who wants to meet me at the SW corner of Washington Square park to play chess? Im there," Wembanyama said.

The fans immediately responded to the Spurs star's request. They gathered at Washington Square Park to have an opportunity to play chess with him. After the publicity stunt, the Spurs star made another post showing gratitude to his 359.6K followers.
"Thanks for everyone who pulled up in the rain 😂🔥," Wembanyama wrote.
Wembanyama has been a point of difference for San Antonio in almost all of their matches this season. The reigning Rookie of the Year is averaging 25.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 3.9 assists. He has been shooting an incredible 48.0% from the field and 36.1% from the 3-point range.
Most recently, the Spurs star delivered an exceptional performance against the New York Knicks in his first Christmas game. He scored 42 points, collected 18 rebounds, and dished out four assists in a 117-114 loss.
