San Antonio scored only three points in the extra period to lose 122-111 to the Nuggets. Wemby told reporters after the game that they could not keep giving away games with poor execution in the fourth quarter. A repeat happened on Monday in the Spurs' loss to the Chicago Bulls. They surrendered a 19-point lead and a 95-82 advantage heading into the last 12 minutes.
Wembanyama went 0-of-4 in the fourth frame and missed 1-of-2 free throws. He had four blocks but could not give his team a boost offensively.
