Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs took on the Denver Nuggets on Saturday. It was their second straight game against each other. Looking at their previous outing, the Spurs came out on top in a nailbiting 113-110 victory. Wembanyama was the star of the show on Friday as he notched a huge double-double outing, adding 35 points and 18 rebounds.
On Saturday, the game seemed neck-and-neck again as the Spurs and Nuggets kept trading baskets in the opening period. Wembanyama was a bit quiet on offense, only scoring three points. But he was efficient in securing the boards after grabbing four rebounds.
In the second quarter, he found his rhythm and immediately notched a double-double before the end of the first half. He added 11 more points and eight more rebounds to bring his stats up to 14 points and 12 rebounds by the end of the half.
Come the third quarter, Victor Wembanyama slowed down a bit on offense as he only added three more points. However, he played more defense in the period, notching three blocks and adding four more defensive rebounds. The game was then sent into overtime after the fourth period as Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. forced a 108-108 finish at the end of regulation.

Ultimately, the Denver Nuggets came out on top with an 11-point 122-111 victory. Jokic took over with 46 points to knock down the Spurs. As for Wembanyama, his security on the boards wasn’t enough to keep San Antonio alive in overtime.

The San Antonio Spurs took on the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. It was a close game throughout the night as both teams sent it to overtime. Ultimately, it was the Nuggets who came up with a 122-111 victory over the Spurs.
Carrying Denver was none other than Nikola Jokic, who had a monster game adding 46 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Victor Wembanyama matched Jokic’s energy with a double-double performance of his own.
Wembanyama added 20 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and one steal in an attempt to take down the Nuggets. Unfortunately, the Joker was too much for too handle for the Spurs in overtime, which resulted in their demise.
