Warriors coach Steve Kerr has made his feelings clear on the team's lack of personnel amid their low layup and free throw rate. His comments came following the team's 114-98 loss at home against the Miami Heat on Tuesday. The Warriors went 14 of 50 from the 3-point line and made just five trips to the foul line.
Their overall shooting percentage was also reeling at 40.8% because of their lack of rim attacks. With the Warriors struggling due to these issues, Kerr clarified that the team doesn't have the players to make such plays to compensate for the lack of 3-point shooting efficiency.
On Saturday, Kerr said the Warriors would be patient about making trades and was content with their roster as presently constructed. When asked if the Warriors' urgency to make new additions has picked up ahead of the trade deadline after Tuesday's loss, Kerr directed those questions to GM Mike Dunleavy Jr.
Steve Kerr maintained he 'loves' the players on the roster and enjoys coaching them.

The Warriors traded for Dennis Schroder in December, but he replaced an injured De'Anthony Melton, who departed for Brooklyn in exchange. Since then, Golden State has stayed put despite glaring roster weaknesses.
The Warriors still lack size and scorers who can create their shots efficiently. They aren't getting consistent production from players not named Steph Curry or Jonathan Kuminga. Golden State fell to 18-18 on the season and is 10th in the West with less than a month left until the Feb. 6 trade deadline.
Steph Curry seemingly disgruntled over Warriors' offensive woes, hints at need for trades
Steph Curry seemed clueless on the way forward for the Warriors offense after back-to-back sluggish games. The superstar potentially hinted at the need for trades to improve the team's chances of contending. He said the Warriors are losing winnable games against teams that are in the same spot as them.
However, the team doesn't have anything to latch onto as they are underwhelming on both sides of the floor.
"It's glaring how bad we can be at times, so you gotta be able to fight through it," Curry said.
After consecutive games under 100 points, Curry had no answers on how to improve the team.
"I honestly have no idea," he said.
Steph Curry also seemed frustrated at the lack of shotmaking around him, suggesting it wasn't his responsibility to get others going. The star said everyone on the Warriors is a high-level player, and the Dubs just need to make shots. He also cited they had 33 3-pointers aside from his attempts, and those were all good looks but just didn't go down.
