Two games featuring the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets are set to take place on consecutive days, but in different cities, leaving NBA fans bewildered. The first match-up is scheduled to tip off at 9:00 p.m. ET on Friday, at the Nuggets' home court, The Ball Arena.

Less than 24 hours later, the two teams will face off in the return fixture at Frost Bank Center in downtown San Antonio. Traveling back and forth between cities is common during the NBA Playoffs but not as much during the grind of the regular season.

Fans were left bewildered and reacted to the questionable scheduling decision on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"Was Adam Silver drunk while making the schedules?" one fan wrote.

"That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen," replied another fan.
"Adam Silver is a joke," said another fan and tagged the NBA.
"On a back-to-back? LMAO," replied another fan.

Spurs fans gave more details about the absurd nature of the team's scheduling for this season.

"Our schedule has been dogs**t all season," vented one Spurs fan.
"Not to mention it’s an unnecessary multiple days off before this back to back," said another.

The Spurs are facing a rough time of the schedule this season, having already played 3 games in 4 nights on four occasions. Denver should be the beneficiary of this scheduling mishap, with San Antonio having to travel across time zones, which will reduce their rest time by nearly two hours.

Nikola Jokić and his teammates will be looking to improve upon their record (19-13) and the fourth-place standing in the Western Conference.

How can NBA fans watch Denver Nuggets vs San Antonio Spurs?

The first game of the back-to-back tips off at 9:00 p.m. EST on Friday. Fans can watch the game on the FanDuel TV Network, ALT/KTVD and FDSNSW on TV. For those opting to stream, the game will be available on NBA League Pass.

Saturday's game will be available on ALT2 and FDSSW on TV and is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.

The two Western Conference teams are at different stages of development in their respective timelines, but the high-profile battle between Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokić promises to deliver. The two teams battled four times in the regular season last year with the Nuggets winning three games out of four.
