It was an incredible sight to behold when several athletes from all over the world were present for the 2024 Paris Olympics, such was the case for Steph Curry. Being first time playing at an international multi-sport event, he was referred to as a rookie in the NBC Sports interview.

During the interview with NBC Sports, the Warriors star was asked to talk about his first Olympic experience while being described as a rookie in the international competition. The clip was shared on X, formerly known as "Twitter," by user SM Highlights.

He was standing alongside Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson and the two ended up exchanging laughs after he received that branding. The 36-year-old Warriors guard has played in over 15 NBA seasons with no signs of slowing down.

Although this is Curry's first Olympics, it is not his first time on the Team USA roster. He has already been in two FIBA World Cups throughout his career and has helped his unit bring home the gold medal in both outings. In his last run for USA Basketball, he averaged 10.7 points (40.8% shooting, including 43.8% from beyond the arc), 2.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.

He might not be the most athletic or the tallest athlete on the court, but his unmatched shotmaking prowess from the 3-point range makes him a headache of a defensive assignment for opponents.

Steph Curry talked about how surreal the experience has been in his first Olympics

Team USA is set to begin its journey towards bringing home the gold medal on July 28 against Serbia. In anticipation of their first game, Steph Curry highlighted the incredible feeling of representing his country in Paris. The experience became all the more rewarding for him when he was on the USA boat during the opening ceremony, as per NBC Sports' Ali Thanawalla.

"It is a wild experience for sure," Curry said. "I've watched this plenty of times. I watch the women dominate or watch the men dominate and to be here and experience it for myself. Like I'm a true fan out here. ... there's something very humbling and the gratitude flows when you know you're an Olympic athlete being on this boat ..."
