The NBA 2K25 extra early access has begun, with content creators and pro athletes being granted access to the game a day before early access officially begins. While the title releases on Sep. 6, fans who preorder it will be able to access it on Sep. 4 (early Wednesday morning).

On Sep. 3, a number of celebrities, such as Kevin Durant, had a chance to log in and play NBA 2k25 before the public. Among them was controversial content creator Adin Ross, who was left fuming when he saw his face scan.

NBA 2k's own Ronnie 2k took to social media early Wednesday morning for the Closed Creator Tip-Off. In a series of posts, he name-dropped Ross along with more well-known NBA 2k content creators, such as CashNasty and 2Hype.

In addition, Ronnie 2k also revealed a number of high-profile NBA players and athletes who would all be participating in the Closed Creator Tip-Off on Wednesday.

When Adin Ross logged in, the streamer was left flabbergasted by his NBA 2k face scan results. A video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, shared his reaction from a Kick stream:

"There's no fucking way this is my face scan. I look nothing like this guy. This guy is Black. I'm white. He- look at his hair like, come on, bro. 2k. What the fuck is this, bro? This makes zero sense, bro. What the- like what is this?"

Looking at the NBA 2k Closed Creator Tip-Off from Wednesday

On Wednesday, 2k held the Closed Creator Tip-Off, which gave a number of content creators and professional athletes a chance to play the new NBA 2k25 game.

Ronnie 2k posted about the event the morning of, giving fans a glimpse at all of the new features ahead of the official launch on Sep. 6. Initially, Ronnie 2k posted about Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball and NFL star Micah Parsons, who participated in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

He then followed it up with a number of posts, revealing the start-studded roster of celebrities and athletes taking part in the extra early access period. NBA stars like Kevin Durant, Jamal Murray, Brandon Miller, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander all joined in, along with a number of celebrities.

Comedian Druski was one of the most notable creators to take part, along with rappers such as Lil Yachty, SheckWes and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. In addition, other pro athletes such as Sauce Gardner joined in, further adding to the star-studded list of celebrities who took part.

As Ronnie 2k explained, fans who are eager to follow along with the Closed Creator Tip-Off can follow him on Instagram for all of the day's festivities. Fans who preordered the game can then jump in on early access on Sep. 4, leading up to the full release on Sep. 6.
