Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks is back in China this offseason as part of his Asia tour for Anta. Irving has a shoe deal with the Chinese sports brand and serves as its Chief Creative Officer. He walked the streets of Xiamen shirtless on Tuesday as fans chanted his name.
In a video uploaded on X, formerly known as Twitter, a shirtless Irving was surrounded by fans. He was giving his fans fist bumps although it's unclear if he stopped to sign some of the items like jerseys and shoes.
As the 32-year-old basketball star was being mobbed by his fans, a huge "Kyrie, Kyrie" chant broke out and he was very appreciative of it.

Kyrie Irving will be touring China from Sept. 17 to 22 with Xiamen as his first stop. Xiamen is in Fujian province where Anta's official headquarters is located. He will then fly to Bangkok, Thailand and spend two days there from Sept. 22 to 23.
Anta has been hyping Irving's first-ever Southeast Asia tour, so Thailand might not be the only place he will visit. The Philippines is a huge basketball country, while Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore have a growing fandom for the sport.
Kyrie Irving signed with Anta after Nike severed ties with him in December 2022
Due to promoting an anti-Semitic film ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season, Kyrie Irving was dropped by Nike despite the popularity of his shoes. Irving didn't have a shoe sponsor heading into that year before signing a five-year deal with Anta in July 2023.
Irving was already a member of the Dallas Mavericks at that point after being traded by the Brooklyn Nets five months prior. He embraced his new role as Chief Creative Officer for the brand that also sponsors other NBA players such as Klay Thompson and Alex Caruso.
"Being appointed as ANTA Basketball's Chief Creative Officer is more than just a realization of my dreams; in fact, it may be the perfect opportunity for me, an individual who always dreams big and values independent thinking, to leverage my artistic talents to build, create, and unify the culture both on and off court," Irving said in a statement last year.
Once Kyrie Irving's tour of Asia is finished, he will likely return to the United States to prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season. The Dallas Mavericks are looking to win a championship after losing this year's NBA Finals.
