Charles Barkley [R] was the victim of a hilarious prank from the Inside the NBA crew.

One can always count on Charles Barkley to liven up the NBA on TNT set with practically every game the award-winning show covers. “Chuck” is consistently just a comment or a gaffe away from hilariously changing the atmosphere inside the studio.

This time, it’s not what he said that had NBA fans shaking in laughter. Here’s what happened on the Inside the NBA set that had everyone in stitches:

American singer Jacquees was finishing a cool-as-ice R&B version of the song “Let it Snow” when the studio pulled a prank on Charles Barkley. The mischievous folks at TNT in Atlanta dropped a ton of decorative snow on the unsuspecting "Chuckster."

Barkley, at a loss for words after what happened, simply kept repeating this to the pranksters:

‘I hate y’all. I hate y’all.”

The former NBA MVP could barely contain his laughter at the prank pulled on him. It wasn’t the first time he was the victim of such horseplay, and it likely won’t be the last. Despite his “hate” response, he took it in good spirits.

Charles Barkley, of course, is no stranger to pranks. He has been on the receiving end of some of those practical jokes perpetrated by Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson.

Barkley, though, is arguably the most easygoing out of the iconic NBA on TNT analysts. He will feel bad about a prank but somehow get over it in a matter of seconds. It’s what makes him one of the biggest characters on sports TV.

Seven months ago, the Inside the NBA hosts were about to close their coverage of the 2022 NBA playoffs. In one of those episodes, the crew tricked Charles Barkley yet again.

The “Chuckster” received a cooler from Ernie Johnson containing presents. “Sir Charles” was hesitant to open it, knowing fully well how devious his co-hosts can be when it comes to pranks. First outside of the container was Twinkies, followed by Redmont Vodka, which is Barkley’s favorite drink.

Mysteriously, he also found a set of ping-pong rackets. Kenny Smith, who was beside him, played the perfectly innocent accomplice who asked what those rackets were for.

Here’s what happened when the former Phoenix Suns superstar responded to Smith:

Shaquille O’Neal, as usual, was laughing his heart out while Ernie Johnson didn’t even feel bad about the prank. Charles Barkley gamely took the prank in stride and laughed with the rest of the crew.

The spontaneity of their comedy is likely a major reason why Turner Sports extended the four analysts to long-term and lucrative contracts. At the center of it all is Barkley’s impeccable humor where he can easily laugh at his own expense.
