The Los Angeles Clippers have a new-look team and a new arena, playing their first game in the Intuit Dome. The Clippers are missing their stars from last season, losing Paul George and Russell Westbrook in the offseason, and Kawhi Leonard, who is dealing with knee inflammation. That leaves 10-time NBA All-Star James Harden to run the show.
In the Clippers' season opener versus the Phoenix Suns, Harden had Intuit Dome rocking in a highlight-reel lob to Derrick Jones Jr., who flushed the pass with a high-flying dunk. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer lit up over the play, jumping out of his seat following the dunk.
James Harden was being checked by his former teammate, Kevin Durant, when the former MVP whizzed a pass past "KD" to Jones Jr., who was cutting through the back door. Harden has been leading the charge for Los Angeles in their first game, getting fans excited in the absence of Kawhi Leonard.

Clippers owner Steve Ballmer leads crowd chant in Intuit Dome versus Suns
Clippers fans entered the brand-new arena loud and proud ahead of Los Angeles' season opener versus Phoenix. None were more excited than team owner Steve Ballmer, who led the team's crowd chant in their new supporter section.
The Intuit Dome was a $2 billion project for the Clippers, giving the team their first stand-alone arena since 1999-2000, following its final season in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. The Clippers spent 25 seasons sharing an arena with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Clippers moved into Staples Center along with the Lakers ahead of the 1999-2000 NBA season. In 2021-22, the Clippers and Lakers moved into Crypto.com Arena, where the Lakers still play.
The Intuit Dome has a seating capacity of 17,927, giving fans a feeling of hovering above the action with massive stands. Multi-platinum recording artist Bruno Mars had the honor of being the first performer to play at Intuit Dome with his concert on Aug. 15.
The Clippers are on the road next for two games against the Denver Nuggets (Oct. 26) and Golden State Warriors (Oct. 27) before their second home game of the season on Oct. 30 versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
