Watch: Emotional Kai Cenat doesn't rule out return to basketball after jersey retirement 

Streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat's basketball league, the LBA (Little Ballers Association), emulated the NBA in many aspects, including honoring its great players' with the jersey retirement ceremony. Following the trophy presentation ceremony after Cenat's team clinched the LBA championship title, his jersey was retired and hung on the rafters.

Cenat grew emotional while speaking about his retirement from the sport while watching his jersey hanging up in honor of him.

"You know what, means a lot, you feel what I'm saying. I gave it all, everything I had. New York Sky number three, I came here for my first year, won a championship and I retired," Cenat said.

The streamer further said that he may return to play in the league, until which he will go back to streaming.

"Who knows? Ajani, Jodi, I might need y'all again in the future, you never know if I want to come back to the sport at LBA," Cenat continued. "But until then, I'mma take my ass to streaming."

Kai Cenat previously announced his retirement from streaming last month to pursue a career as a professional basketball player for which he made his own league. He hosted a draft for his league and has been playing with kids in the LBA for the past week. The league featured four games, one game per day from Saturday to Wednesday.

Cenat's team, the New York City Skyscrapers defeated the Phoenix Towers in the final on Wednesday to win the title. They previously defeated Dallas on Saturday before winning against Atlanta on Sunday. The Skyscrapers defeated Phoenix in the semifinals on Monday, after which Kai reportedly left the arena with a right knee sprain.

Kai Cenat gets former NBA champions to call his LBA championship game

Kai Cenat left no stone unturned for the production of his own basketball league. The streamer got former NBA championship teammates, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, as the commentators for his LBA championship game on Wednesday as Cenat played against little kids in the final.

The LBA sported an incredible production value. Kai Cenat had renowned announcer Bruce Buffer introduce him by calling out his name at the championship game. He also collaborated with various celebrities for the league, including Ruby Rose, who made a special appearance during the final.

Kai concluded his brief professional basketball career with the first and only LBA championship title. The streamer had previously featured as one of the players in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.
