Victor Wembanyama left his sister, Eve Wembanyama, stunned after making an impossible shot against Canada. While he might seem otherworldly to the sports world, for his family, he is as normal as can be. The Frenchman’s sister perhaps got the first glimpse of why her brother is often considered out of this world.
In an exhibition game before the 2024 Paris Olympics, Victor Wembanyama and France faced Canada, led by MVP runner-up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. During one play, the San Antonio Spurs star was being defended by Dillon Brooks. With his back turned towards Brooks, Wembanyama took a few dribbles to force the defender to retreat.
The French star then picked up his dribble and made a turnaround fadeaway shot on what seemed like a step back. Sitting courtside, Eve was left stunned by her brother's ridiculous shot, as she held her head in disbelief:

Given that she herself is a basketball player, the reaction is priceless. Eve Wembanyama plays for Monaco BA in France, is 22 years old, and plays the forward position. Last season, she averaged 6.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for her club.
Since Victor Wembanyama was introduced to the world, his name has been synonymous with exceptional. As difficult as that shot was, it's just one instance of what makes his skills on the court seem almost ridiculous.
Who is Victor Wembanyama’s sister Eve Wembanyama?
Basketball runs deep in the Wembanyama family. Not only is Victor an incredible player, but his younger sister, Eve Wembanyama, also plays professional basketball and has represented her country on various levels. Eve is second among her siblings, younger than Victor and older than the youngest brother, Oscar Wembanyama.
According to TUKO, born in 2001, Eve is the daughter of basketball player Felix Wembanyama and track athlete Elodie de Fautereau. Quite clearly, it was their mother who introduced them to basketball.
Eve Wembanyama has represented France in Under-16 and Under-20 in 3x3 basketball. She played a crucial role on her team when the French U-16 team won a bronze medal at the FIBA-U16 Women's European Championship.
In 2021, she won the Women's European Challengers title with the French team. She plays for Monaco BA in the second division of Liga Femenina 2 de Baloncesto in Spain. Previously, she played for the LDLC ASVEL Club in the EuroLeague Women.
