Watch: Gilbert Arenas' girlfriend Melli Monaco announces she is engaged as she flashes big diamond ring

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas proposed to girlfriend Melli Monaco and she said yes. The lovely couple is now officially engaged after Monaco flashed her big diamond ring in a post on Instagram. The two have been dating since last year and are ready to take the next step in their relationship.

Monaco shared a reel of her pictures with Arenas and the ring. The couple appears to be having an intimate time on vacation inside a jacuzzi. It's unclear if the former All-Star proposed right then and there or in some other romantic way.

Nevertheless, Monaco said yes and was congratulated by a lot of people in the comments section.

She wrote:

"YES! @no.chill.gil"

Arenas and Monaco began dating last year after the former Washington Wizards star tried to shoot his shot during her livestream. There was even a bet involving stuff like money and luxury cars, but it all led to their engagement now.

Life's been good for the couple, with Monaco having a great relationship with Arenas' four children. She recently spent some time with Aloni and Hamiley on Father's Day. His other children are Alijah and Izela, and the mother of his four kids is reality star Laura Govan.

Melli Monaco shuts down troll in the comments section

While many congratulated Melli Monaco on her engagement, one fan tried to troll her by saying that Gilbert Arenas gave her a fake ring. Monaco replied and shut down the troll by taking the high road.

"If y'all know Gil, that ring fake, but I'm sure the love is real. So I can't argue," the fan commented.

Here's her response:

"Real ring, fake ring, I don't care. It's just a symbol. I would say yes regardless."

Gilbert Arenas is living up to his "no chill" persona back in April when he got candid about being intimate with two women at the same time in front of Melli Monaco. Arenas made the revelation in an appearance on Monaco's podcast on YouTube.

"She's famous right now, so look I flew her out and we get our thing. She's drunk, and we did or thing and she fell asleep and unfortunately I was still horny. ... So a girl hit me like what you doing I heard you in the town ... I was still drunk, horny and then shorty hit me up," Arenas claimed.

He added:

"So we have ... the famous girl sleep, I'm in the middle and then we got shorty right here ... And then she woke up ... I end up lifting the wrong leg."

Despite Arenas acting out the scenario, Monaco wasn't buying his beau's story, which seemingly shows how candid they can be with each other.
