Guillermo Rodriguez finally makes it to the center stage at the All-Star Weekend
Guillermo Rodriguez had an unusual path to fame, yet an inspirational one. Popularly known by his first name, Guillermo was a parking security guard for "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" studio. In 2003, he became an on-air personality and carried a prominent role as Kimmel's sidekick.
Guillermo's role extended outside the show when he represented them during mega events like the NBA Finals and All-Star weekends. For years he entered the room as media personnel and asked absurd questions to superstars as part of a comical segment.
Guillermo Rogriguez spent years trying to get the attention of the NBA's leading all-time scorer, LeBron James. He followed the LA Lakers superstar during the NBA Finals and All-Star weekends but never got a response.
However, Guillermo finally caught LeBron's attention last year when the latter appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show. The 52-year-old TV personality has now made it to the center stage of the All-Star weekend following his celebrity game appearance.
Fans absolutely loved his shenanigans during his debut, and it seems like they will court him to feature in the contest moving forward.
