Bronny James became the victim of a classic NBA rookie prank in a Nike commercial with his father, LeBron James. The LA Lakers duo starred in a commercial where LeBron filled a car of the first-year player with cereal. The two played off each other well and made a hilarious advert for Nike.
Rookie hazing has gotten tamer throughout the years in the league. The most common prank veterans pull off is where they fill up the car with food. Usually, they use multiple bags of popcorn. Stars like Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker and Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young were on the receiving end of the joke in their rookie years.
Bronny, on the other hand, hasn't played a regular season game yet but has already gotten a taste of the practical joke.
"Don’t be late ROOK!" James captioned an Instagram post.

The two involved Bryce James in the commercial as Bronny called him to ask for his keys following the prank.
Fans expect LeBron James to share the court with his son on opening night
The Lakers start their season tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After a lengthy offseason, the team is ready to play another grueling NBA campaign. One of the biggest storylines in the league at the start of the year is the experience of seeing LeBron James sharing the court with his son.
Fans have waited for a long time to see it happen, and there's a chance that the father-son duo might fulfill that tonight.
"The big story tonight on opening night is out here in Los Angeles where I think we’re gonna see a historic moment with LeBron and Bronny James," ESPN's Brian Windhorst said.
"The Lakers aren’t saying for sure, but they’ve shown their hand a little bit with Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. being guests of Nike here tonight. This is a big thing for LeBron. I would expect, as long as the game is going OK, be in your seat at the start of the second quarter. That’s when JJ Redick did this in the preseason, to start the second quarter, and the coach, I know it’s his debut, but he is totally leaning into this."
Nothing is final for the Lakers yet. Redick hasn't shared the details of his plans involving the duo sharing the court on opening night.
