The game was temporarily stopped to give LeBron James his moment. The NBA presented him with a video tribute, while commissioner Adam Silver congratulated him on center court.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was present and showed love to the man who broke his records. James' family also had a special video message for "The King." It was then followed by another video tribute from celebrities such as Snoop Dogg and Drake.

LeBron James believes he's the best ever

As LeBron James made history on Tuesday night, becoming the NBA's all-time leading scorer, the greatest of all-time debate will surely be revisited. James accomplished something that Michael Jordan has not, and it could open up the discussion even more.

In an interview with Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register, James was asked about his place on the greatest of all-time list. "The King" thinks that everyone has their own opinion regarding it, but firmly believes he's the best player ever.

"I'm gonna let everybody else decide where (the scoring record) puts me," James said. "It's not for me to say now, 'OK, I’m this or that.' … What I bring to the table as a basketball player, I feel like I'm the best basketball player that ever played the game. That's just my confidence, that's just what I bring to the table, what I possess. But as far as if the scoring record gets me to another level, I don't know."

Not everyone will agree with what James said, but it's harder to argue against him following his most recent accomplishment. James is probably the first player to come closest to Jordan, and it's understandable if more people will put him above MJ.
