LeBron James and Russell Westbrook are two of the biggest hip-hop fans in the NBA. They have close relationships with some of the most highly sought rappers and singers in the music industry. The two have been spotted over the years attending the concerts of their favorite artists.

James and Westbrook’s offseasons started late in April when the LA Lakers and LA Clippers, respectively, lost in the playoffs. Both superstars have embraced their vacations after their 2023-24 campaigns were ended by the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks.

On Monday, LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California for Kendrick Lamar’s surprise concert. James was with his entourage while Westbrook was in another section of the arena with his group. The two were filmed vibing to YG who was part of Lamar’s “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” show.

The concert has gotten more attention even from jaded hip-hop fans. This is the Grammy and Pulitzer-prize-winning artist’s first concert since his diss track duel with Drake. For many, “The Pop Out” is considered Lamar’s victory lap against his opponent.

Rap fans who closely monitored the blistering back-and-forth between Kendrick Lamar and “Drizzy,” will consider LeBron James and Russell Westbrook’s appearances a big win. The two having a blast with Lamar and friends will be looked at as the icing on the cake for “K-Dot’s” victory.

Other NBA players such as James Harden, DeMar DeRozan and others were also seen inside the venue.

During the NBA In-Season Tournament, “Like That,” the track that started this year’s civil war among rappers, was repeatedly played in LA Lakers warm-ups. LeBron James could be seen having a blast with that track. The four-time MVP and some of his teammates couldn’t hold back their dance moves while the song blared inside Crypto.com Arena.

Last month, “King James” and his wife Savannah James were also spotted dancing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” It was the clip that made some rap fans decide who won the battle between the Compton-born artist and Drake.

The said single is considered by many to be Lamar’s best and most successful shot at “Drizzy.” A handful of publications dedicated to the hip-hop genre called it one of the greatest pieces recorded.

Russell Westbrook also busted out his moves during one of the games in the LA Clippers-Dallas Mavericks series. Westbrook even sang along when “Euphoria” came on the air.

Fans who saw them at Kendrick Lamar’s concert weren’t surprised. After they were spotted having fun with the diss tracks, they were likely to be in Inglewood for the event.
