Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry made their way to the Warriors superstar's documentary "Underrated's" premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on Monday evening (January 23rd). "Underrated's" first screening was made under the special screenings section.

Curry and his wife showed up for the event together. The two-time MVP also showed off his new hairdo and looked sharp as usual. Curry made a heartwarming gesture by stepping aside upon his entrance alongside Ayesha as she got some solo pictures clicked before her husband joined her. Here's a clip of the couple's entrance for the event, which was held at Eccles Theatre, Park City:

What is Steph Curry's documentary "Underrated" about?

Steph Curry's latest documentary about his life, "Underrated," looks back at his rise as one of the greatest basketball players. The Golden State Warriors superstar didn't come into the league with the same hype as many other superstars considering his rivals today.

Despite being a recognized NBA kid (Former Hornets player Dell Curry's son), Steph's path to becoming a professional basketball player wasn't easy. Curry never fit the profile of an ideal NBA player. Standing at 6'3" with a skinny frame, nobody showed enough faith in him, including Virginia Tech, who didn't offer him a D1 Scholarship.

Steph Curry had accomplished enough during his high school basketball career. Not receiving a D1 scholarship from the same college his parents, Dell and Sonya Curry attended, was surprising. Curry's struggles to rise up the ranks began from there itself.

The two-time MVP worked as hard as anyone during his high school and college days to make a name for himself before eventually finding his way to the league as the No. 7 pick in the 2009 draft. Simply put, the creators of this documentary used this aspect of his life and emphasized it in the movie. Here's what director Peter Nicks said about the documentary (via Deadline):

“We’re also chipping away at what allows an individual who is not seen, who is underrated, not heard, what allows that individual to achieve their potential."

As the name of the documentary suggests, the film is about Steph Curry's story as an "Underrated" prospect and how he defied that notion to become one of the all-time greats in the NBA.
