There is no doubt that Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in NBA history but that doesn't stop his peers from challenging him in a shootout. That is exactly what his Team USA teammate Anthony Edwards did during a practice session for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The two did not just compete in a regular three-point shootout. Curry and Edwards battled it out in a half-court shooting contest, and surprisingly, the Minnesota Timberwolves star out-shot the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made.

While Steph Curry ended up losing, he did not make it easy on Anthony Edwards as he also made a half-court shot. Steve Kerr is unlikely to call a play wherein the team will settle for a shot from that distance, but when the need arises, he knows who to give the ball to.

In fact, both players might have an easier time shooting threes due to the distance of the three-point line in the Olympics. Unlike in the NBA, where the three-point line is 23 feet and nine inches away, it will only be 22.1 feet in the Olympics.

While that seems like a small difference, it might be enough for these shooters to sink shots from behind the arc even more efficiently. This is especially true for Curry who regularly makes them from way beyond the three-point line.

Steph Curry led Team USA against Nikola Jokic and Serbia

To prepare for the upcoming Olympics, several teams have been playing tune-up games against one another. Fans have already seen Team USA in action against Canada and Australia, as well as Nikola Jokic and Serbia.

Against the Serbians, Steph Curry was on fire as he led his nation's team in scoring.

The four-time NBA champion dropped a game-high 24 points as Team USA secured a 105-79 victory. He also showcased his deep range as he shot 6-for-9 from threes. This is a bounce-back performance for Curry after he went 1-for-6 against Australia.

Against Canada, he was the second-highest scorer for Team USA behind Anthony Edwards who had 13 points off the bench. In that game, Steph Curry scored 12 points while going 3-of-6 from downtown.
