On December 14, 2021, Steph Curry beat the all-time 3-point record when he sunk his 2974th career 3-pointer to go past Ray Allen.
During the historic moment, famous comedian Pete Davidson was in attendance and could be easily spotted behind the scenes. Davidson wore a bright pink Michael Jackson sweatshirt, which was difficult to miss. As Curry made 3-point history, Davidson inadvertently ended up photobombing the historic moment.

The time when Steph Curry broke Ray Allen's 3-point Record in 2021
Steph Curry made history last year when the Golden State Warriors played the New York Knicks in December 2021.
Curry ended the game with five 3-pointers. He made two of them in the first quarter to pass previous NBA 3-point leader Ray Allen. The Warriors guard surpassed the mark in 789 games, which was 511 fewer games than Allen took to reach the feat.
In less than a minute of play, Curry sank his first long-range shot of the game, a 29-footer, to give the Warriors a 5-2 lead. At the 7:32 mark, Curry made a record-breaking basket on a play that he didn't even anticipate seeing the ball on.
The play was initially meant for Andrew Wiggins to score inside the paint. However, Wiggins decided that Curry should break the record at that moment.
“I made the first one in transition,” Curry explained. “Then, like the next two or three possessions, I got the ball coming down, and I could see everybody on that end of the stadium just start to slowly stand up, and there was like a buzz. So, I didn’t want to rush it because that’s when you kind of get in your head and try to like force the moment."
He continued:
“The way that it happened: Wigs came off a screen. I kind of floated back to the 3-point line. I didn’t think I was getting the ball. He hit me. I thought about nothing. I just let it go. After that, the emotions started kicking. So, I just wanted to let it come. It was a pretty special moment.”
Steph Curry scales new 3-point milestone in same season
In just less than a month later after breaking Ray Allen's 3-point record, Curry created a new landmark. Curry made history when he became the first NBA player to register 3000 3-pointers.
The Golden State Warriors faced the Denver Nuggets on December 28, 2021, when Curry made his historic 3-point shot. He scored a three over Facundo Campazzo to end the third quarter, making NBA history in the process.
Curry shot 5-for-14 from beyond the arc in the 89-86 loss to Denver, giving him 3,004 3-pointers at the end of the night.
Steph Curry is indisputably the greatest NBA shooter of all time. Considering that he's only 34, he has plenty of time to add to his tally of 3182 3-pointers (as on November 15, 2022).
