During the postgame interview following the OKC Thunder's dominant 136-95 road win against the Washington Wizards on Sunday, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made an All-Star case for his teammate, Jalen Williams. SGA made the case by highlighting Williams, who has earned $13,881,908 in his NBA career per Spotrac, as a significant contributor to the Thunder being currently the top team in the West.
"For our team to be as good as we've been this far in the season, obviously coming up in the All-Star game, I think it'll only be right for him [Jalen Williams] to be All-Star," Shai said. "You don't have this record because of one All-Star, you don't have this player because of one good player.
"You have to have a team, a collective, a second All-Star, a very talented basketball player to help. A lot of the times I'm out of the game and he's carrying the load offensively. He averages 20 on hyper efficiency and we are first in the West, and I think because of that, his case should be sealed."

“It’s cool,” SGA said brushing off the accomplishment. “It doesn’t really hold much weight. I expected to get there. Hopefully, I get a lot further. Hopefully I'm healthy enough to. But yeah, I don't take it for granted.
“Able to play this game at a high level and accomplish things is always a blessing. And to make it this far and do those things, there's always a little bit of luck involved. And I'm always thankful for the people that helped me get to this part of my career.”
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is arguably having the best season of his seven-year NBA career so far, averaging 31.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.1 blocks and 2.0 steals per game.
