Anthony Davis did not mince words after the LA Lakers' blowout 134-110 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Wednesday. The Lakers suffered their second loss on the bounce, with the latest being a 24-point loss.
Despite Davis' dominant 22-point outing coupled with 13 rebounds, the double-double metronome's effort went in vain as the Cavs thoroughly outplayed LA.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of the loss, Davis didn't hold back:
"This is the first game where we regressed and we were god awful offensively"

Davis shot 9-17 from the field and also recorded two steals. LeBron James had a solid game back home with 26 points, five rebounds, and two assists against his former side. Austin Reaves had an off day with seven points, while Rui Hachimura had eight. The lone bright spot from the bench was Dalton Knecht with 18 points.
The Lakers had no answer for Cleveland's relentless offense led by Evan Mobley (25 points), Jarrett Allen (20 points, and Donovan Mitchell (24 points). The loss now sees the Lakers at 3-2 and slip the rungs to sixth place in the West.
JJ Redick echoes Anthony Davis' thoughts of playing badly on offense
Also echoing Anthony Davis' thoughts of the Lakers' offense stagnating and blowing up in their faces was Lakers head coach JJ Redick. Speaking in the postgame press conference, Redick kept it blunt.
"When you play a good basketball team, you can't make that many mistakes."
The Lakers' defense was nowhere to be seen as Cleveland effortlessly propped up the buckets. Their familiar issue of scoring being heavily dependent on James and Davis resurfaced. Their slow start proved costly, as they later found themselves playing catchup again.
Up next, the Lakers play the Toronto Raptors on Friday at the Scotiabank Arena hoping to get back to winning ways.
