Famous couple Tommy Fury and Molly Mae Hague have announced their breakup, leaving their fans in dismay. One of them is Steph Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry, who expressed her sadness at the couple’s split on social media.

Sydel Curry conveyed her reaction to the breakup on her Instagram story, as the former couple and reality show stars ended what was a five-year relationship.

The news was a bombshell for the couple’s fans like Sydel, after Tommy Fury and Molly Mae, who are just both 25 years old, welcomed their first child together last year and were engaged shortly after.

Tommy, a professional boxer and also the younger brother of boxing’s heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, met Molly Mae on a popular dating show “Love Island UK.” They then enjoyed a lengthy relationship that kept fans engaged throughout the years.

Hague released a statement announcing their breakup to their fans.

“Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way…I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter,” she said.

Sydel Curry has been a known fan of Love Island. Last month, Sydel, whose husband is former Golden State Warriors player Damion Lee, posted on her IG story how much she loves watching the shows's episodes.

Being one of Steph Curry’s sisters, Sydel has built a bond with other longtime members of the Golden State Warriors, especially Klay Thompson, who helped the team win four NBA championships.

So when Thompson left the Warriors for the Dallas Mavericks this offseason, Sydel expressed her emotions, commenting 'three holding-back tears' emojis in the former Warriors’ farewell post.

The comment got Klay’s attention, and he replied with a playful jab to his friend.

"I'm not crying, you're crying 😭," Thompson said.

Sydel has been a die-hard Warriors fan since the dynasty’s emergence in 2014. She was often seen supporting the team at their former home arena, the Oracle Center, and has also been spotted sometimes at their present home court, the Chase Center.
