NBA legend Charles Barkley isn't shy in admitting that he's on the older side of life now that he's a grandfather. In an interview with Bleacher Report's Taylor Rooks, Barkley shared how he came to the idea of naming himself "Big Pop" for his grandchild.
Chuck shared that whenever he's not making people laugh on "Inside the NBA," he's chilling with his grandson Henry. Now, Henry isn't capable of hanging out with his grandpa as he's still an infant. But for Barkley, he enjoys every moment he has with his grandchild.
Additionally, the former Phoenix Suns star shared that he started calling himself "Big Pop" after an interaction with a fan.
"I got a grandson now, which officially means you're old when you a grandpa. Well, my name is 'Big Pop,' too. I stole it from somebody. This little girl comes up and said, 'Mr. Barkley, can I take a picture with you?' I said, 'Sure. Who gonna take the picture?' She says, 'My Big Pop.'

"And I saw this lil' dude walking toward me. I said, 'Damn. This lil' dude can be 'Big Pop,' I can be 'Big Pop.'"
Chuck also took the time to share how he likes to spend time with his grandson.
"Now, little Henry's not talking yet, but he likes hanging out. So, he sleeps here. And I got a beer on this other hand, and we watching football together. I got him trained," Chuck said.
Rooks asked if that's the perfect way to spend time with his grandchild. To this, Barkley responded with his classic humor and wit:
"Well, you know, it depends on how the game is going, who I bet on that day. If I win a bet, it's a really perfect day."
Charles Barkley's daughter made him feel guilty
Charles Barkley's ability to make people laugh seems so effortlessly with his quick wit and unmatched charm. This has always been the case, as he was one of the funniest players in the league even back when he was still active. But fans were able to witness the whole package when Chuck joined TNT in 2000.
One of his controversial comments back then was when he shared a comment about women milking the "baby thing." Charles even went as far as to compare the pain of dealing with a sprained ankle to childbirth. The clip has become iconic for Barkley's comments as well as Chris Webber's inability to hold it together.
A few months ago, Mother's Day was celebrated by the TNT crew and Chuck was met with a surprise message from his daughter, who had just given birth to Henry.
Barkley responded by saying that he wasn't talking about his daughter, Christiana.
