Over the past few years, LeBron has spoken on his desire to play alongside Bronny James in the NBA. The two have a chance to make history as the first father-son duo as teammates in professional basketball.

There is no denying that LeBron's free agency certainly played a part in the decisoin to draft Bronny James. Having his son in the organization entices the 20-time All-Star to remain with the Lakers moving forward.

Rumors have been floated around that LeBron could opt out and stay with the Lakers on a new contract. With an opportunity to play with his son a reality now, it seems doubtful that the superstar forward would depart to a new team.

NBA insider speaks on nepotism regarding Lakers drafting Bronny James

Following a subpar season in college, nepotism has been brought up a lot regarding the LA Lakers drafting Bronny James. After his selection became official, one NBA insider shared his thoughts on the situation.

It's clear that LeBron James being on the Lakers had a lot to do with LA drafting the USC guard. Not only would it allow the star forward to make history, but might also keep him with the franchise moving forward.

During the broadcast of the second round, Adrian Wojnarowski gave his thoughts on the nepotism narrative around Bronny. He thinks there shouldn't be outrage over this because it is a common practice across the league.

"People talking about nepotism. The NBA is full of nepotism. At the ownership level, front offices, coaching," Woj said. "I don't want to hear it all of a sudden because Bronny James' father plays for the Lakers."

Whether Bronny likes it or not, this is a narrative that will be hanging over his head as he starts his NBA career. All he can do is try to perform well on the court and prove that he was worthy of being drafted in the first place.
