Jalen Suggs might be added to the long list of Orlando Magic's injured players. The veteran guard exited the Brooklyn Nets game on Sunday after sustaining a wrist injury. He was ruled out for the remainder of the matchup.
The Magic keep receiving bad news regarding players' injuries. The up-and-coming team has lost Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner with injuries before Moe Wagner's campaign was cut short earlier this week. Now, another figure went down with an injury on Sunday, as they took on the Brooklyn Nets.
Suggs ended the game with eight points after scoring only two of his seven field goal attempts and hitting four of five free-throw attempts. Besides, he added two rebounds and two assists in 13 minutes of action. Jalen Suggs will likely undergo further testing after this game. The Magic will return to the court on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons to continue the injury-riddled 2024-25 NBA season.

For the season, the four-year veteran is averaging 16.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists while shooting 41.2% from the field. With the absence of the Wagner brothers and Paolo Banchero, Suggs was expected to improve his game and become one of the Magic's main scorers.
After dropping 29 and 27 points in his last two games, Suggs couldn't replicate those performances and left the Magic helpless against the Brooklyn Nets.
Who is replacing Jalen Suggs on the Magic lineup?
As the former Gonzaga star went down with this injury, the Magic had several options to replace him. Jett Howard, Cole Anthony and Trevelin Queen were all candidates to fill in for the veteran the rest of the game.
Anthony was the one selected to replace Suggs at the start of the second half.
The Brooklyn Nets entered the fourth quarter winning the game 83-68, putting the Magic in a complex position. Cam Thomas led the way for the New Yorkers with 23 points off the bench while Noah Clowney added 13.
As for the Magic, Goga Bitadze dropped 18 points ahead of the final period. Orlando boasts a 19-14 record this season, but without four of their best players, that number could get worse in no time.
Jalen Suggs' right wrist sprain is the last thing the Magic wanted to deal with at this point of the season, but fans will have to wait to see how severe this injury is.
