The Golden State Warriors face an uphill battle to sustain their regained momentum after Jonathan Kuminga went down with an injury on Saturday. Golden State won the contest 121-113 against the Memphis Grizzlies, its first consecutive win since Nov. 22.
However, Kuminga's injury blow has raised concerns about the team's ability to get through the next few games. He was one of their best performers over the past 10 games, averaging 20.8 points and 6.6 rebounds on 47.0% shooting, including 37.1% from 3.
On Saturday, Kuminga had 13 points in just 15 minutes on 66.7% shooting. However, he rolled his right ankle just before halftime and never returned.
Steve Kerr provided a concerning injury update, saying the $7,636,307 wing's injury setback could be significant, and he might miss a lot of time. Kuminga is due for an MRI.

Warriors' Steve Kerr names one player who has to fill in for Jonathan Kuminga
Steve Kerr and the Warriors face a huge conundrum with Jonathan Kuminga going down. Kerr said Kuminga was playing some of the best basketball of his career over the recent stretch, so it will 'hurt' Golden State to play without him over the next few games.
However, the Warriors coach believes his roster is deep enough to plug some holes. He even named a replacement for Kuminga. The four-time championship-winning coach is turning to veteran Kyle Anderson to fill Kuminga's shoes in his absence. Anderson has been in and out of the rotation, and he doesn't play significant minutes consistently.
However, when called upon, Anderson provides a decent effort on both ends. The Warriors can expect him to do a bit of everything. However, other players like Dennis Schroder, Buddy Hield and Andrew Wiggins will have to share the scoring burden and compensate for Kuminga's production on offense.
The Warriors will get to test the outcome of Jonathan Kuminga's absence as early as Sunday when they take on the Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back.
