Olivia Miles suffered a worrying knee injury in her latest game. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish point guard, who's had a fantastic season, left the matchup against Louisville in the second quarter.
A video of Miles' injury shows her injuring her knee while trying to save a loose ball. She fell while trying to regain possession of the ball and had to leave the game due to the pain she's suffered.
While her long-term status hasn't been revealed yet, the talented guard may be sidelined for an extended time. This is very unfortunate considering that she's the best player on her team.

Olivia Miles' knee injury
The Fighting Irish matched up against the Louisville Cardinals on Sunday, February 26. While Notre Dame entered the game as a favorite, the Cardinals put up a great fight and nearly won it.
With under three minutes left in the second quarter, Olivia Miles received the ball from her teammate and drove coast-to-coast. Unfortunately, the 5-foot-10 point guard lost control of the ball while driving to the rim. When she tried to save it, she injured her knee.
The Louisville Cardinals were up by four points, 26-22, when Miles collapsed to the floor. She was in a lot of pain while laying at the baseline and holding her knee. After a couple of minutes, the talented guard stood up, but was limping.

With 2:35 left in the second quarter, the Notre Dame star left the game and returned to the locker room to receive treatment. Miles returned to the game with 8:06 left in the third quarter, but she stayed on the bench for the remainder of it.
Once she returned, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish were down by 10 points. However, they managed to stay in the game and ended up winning it 68-65. Sonia Citron stepped up, finishing the game with 27 points on 7-for-13 shooting.
Olivia Miles' stats in the 2022-23 season
Miles finished her match against the Cardinals with only two points. In 17 minutes on the floor, the talented point guard converted only one out of five shot attempts. However, she also added three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
Miles has appeared in 28 games during the 2022-23 season, averaing 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game. The point guard is a fantastic all-around player and is also a great perimeter defender who's averaging 2.1 steals per game.

Miles is the best Notre Dame player by a large margin and leads the team in rebounds, assists and steals. Before suffering a knee injury, she led the team in scoring as well.
