Four-time NBA champion Steph Curry has finalized a one-year, $62.6 million contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday. Heading into the 2024-25 season, Curry had two years remaining on his contract.
With the new deal, Curry is set to earn $178 million guaranteed over the next three years and keep him with the franchise through the 2026-27 season.
The news comes on the heels of Golden State parting ways with Klay Thompson this offseason. While there was never much doubt regarding Curry's future with the franchise, with Thompson's contract off the books, Golden State had more money to offer Steph Curry.

The former MVP is set to make $55.7 million this season and $59.6 million during the 2025-26 season, both of which will see him remain the highest-paid player in the league.
His one-year extension worth $62.6 million will see him receive a massive pay bump. However, during the 2026-27 season, Damian Lillard is expected to be the highest-paid player with a $63.2 million team option.
Steph Curry opened up on wanting to retire as a Warrior
Steph Curry discussed his future with the franchise in July. For years, Curry has maintained that he wants to retire as a member of the Golden State Warriors.
Despite that, he's also made it clear that winning is a priority. Given the Warriors' struggles last season, which saw the team miss the playoffs for the third time in the past five years, it's unclear whether the team will be able to remain competitive.
The franchise has done little to bolster their roster this offseason while losing key players like Chris Paul and Klay Thompson.
"It's tough, right? I've always said I want to be a Warrior for life," Curry said in an interview with Andscape in July. "At this stage in my career, I feel like that's possible.
"And you can still be competitive, it doesn't mean you guaranteed the championship. It doesn't mean winning. Winning is always a priority, but obviously you're realistic," he said. "It doesn't mean that it's going to happen if you stay the course. You need to shake things up and keep reimagining what it looks like to evolve with what league is at right now, with where some of these talented teams are now."
With his one-year extension now reportedly locked down, keeping him under contract through the 2026-27 season, it will be interesting to see whether or not the extension will be his last in the league.
