Lamar Odom is best remembered as one of the best role players in the late 2000s and early 2010s with the LA Lakers. Odom won two championships with the Lakers, playing a key contributor to the team that was once led by Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.

In October 2015, Odom made the headlines after he was found unconscious in a legal brothel in Crystal Town in Nevada. Odom then fell into a coma after suffering multiple kidney failures and several heart attacks, among others. Fortunately for the NBA legend, he lived.

Odom looked back at the fateful day from less a decade ago in The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Sunday.

“I don't know what they were able to slip into my drink or what I don't really remember because I was in a coma. I remember being upset that I didn't have any cocaine to take to the brothel,” Odom, who was in the middle of a divorce process with ex-wife Khloe Kardashian, said.

"I had just signed the divorce papers and I thought I was just gonna go all the way in. [I was] having a drink and then waking up three days later with it all over the news…When I woke up, I couldn't walk or talk. So it took, you know, it took some months of rehabilitation and a lot of prayers, a lot of determination."

Despite his claims, Odom didn't find any evidence to support his claim. Odom was discharged in January 2016 before working toward a full recovery that involved him bouncing back from a drug addiction.

Odom has since been an advocate for drug education. The 46-year-old has launched wellness centers to provide other people with an escape route for their addiction.

Lamar Odom says Kobe Bryant comes to his dreams

Being longtime teammates, Lamar Odom and the late Kobe Bryant shared a special relationship. Odom said that Kobe was once in his dreams.

"Kobe comes to me in my dreams…He told me something I'll never forget. We were competing in a 3-point contest, and at one point he simply turned to me and said, 'Lamar, the afterlife is nothing like what people say,'" he said in the “Shay Shay Club" hosted by Shannon Sharpe.

Lamar Odom played together with Kobe from 2004 to 2011, the year when Odom won the Sixth Man of the Year award.
