Tom Brady and LeBron James are two incredible athletes. Both have dominated their respective sports for more than two decades, which is very impressive. However, Brady's career seems to be over as he announced retirement on Feb. 1, 2023.
LeBron is a huge fan of football and has followed Brady's impressive career. However, the four-time NBA champion doesn't believe that the quarterback is the greatest athlete of all time.
My only argument with a football player being the greatest athlete of all time is that they only gotta play one side of the floor, man,” James said. “Yes, Brady is unbelievable. Brady is the greatest quarterback I’ve ever seen, but he affects the game one way.”
James obviously has a horse in the race as he is considered one of the greatest athletes of all time. However, as amazing as Tom Brady is, LeBron doesn't think he's the best.

Tom Brady is not the greatest athlete of all time, says LeBron James
Brady's football career was impeccable. After more than two decades in the NFL, Brady became the all-time leader in Super Bowl wins with seven. No other player in the league's history has won more than five titles, which shows how impressive this is.
The quarterback spent the majority of his career with the New England Patriots. However, he signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, where he won his seventh Super Bowl title.
Back in 2017, LeBron James discussed Brady's impressive football career on "The Shop." The four-time NBA champion, who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the time, praised the legendary quarterback for his greatness, calling him the greatest football player of all time.

However, James also stated that he didn't think Brady was the greatest athlete of all time. While basketball players have to constantly worry about both ends of the floor, quarterbacks like the Patriots legends only have to worry about one side.
Brady responded to LeBron
The football legend also appeared on "The Shop," discussing LeBron James' comments about him. Despite his appearance coming four years after LeBron's, Brady said that he remembered James' comments.
“It really just depends what style you like,” Brady said. “But my style of play might not fit everybody else’s, what their view of what that position should be.”
The 7-time Super Bowl champion admitted that he couldn't do everything on the football field. However, his position doesn't require him to block or tackle, which is why he is not responsible for that.
