Michael Jordan has two sons with his first wife Juanita Vanoy: Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan. Both tried to follow in the footsteps of their legendary father but only played college basketball.
Speaking to TMZ Sports in May 2020, Marcus was asked what it was like to grow up as the son of Michael Jordan. He admitted that there was pressure as a kid, but he was never afraid of it. He had an older brother, so he just followed what Jeffrey did.
"At an early age, there's some pressure, but it was never something that I shied away from," Marcus said. "I had the privilege of watching my brother, who's two years older than me, so he had to get thrown into the fire before I did. I had the privilege of watching him, and learning and expecting, assuming what was gonna happen for me.
"It wasn't a lot of pressure, it's just something that I think early on my dad instilled a work ethic in us. He wasn't gonna be there to be able to save the day. We kind of had to our own skills, kind of speak for ourselves and hold our own. So that's really what we went out and did," he added.

Marcus Jordan reveals the worst part of being Michael Jordan's son
In the same interview with TMZ Sports, Marcus Jordan revealed the worst part of being the son of the greatest basketball player ever. Marcus acknowledged that he had privilege, given that his father is Michael Jordan, but they were raised to stay down to earth by their mother Juanita Vanoy.
While there were a lot of perks as MJ's son, Marcus was not fond of people lurking around him trying to get something from him.
"The negative or the worst thing would just be like having to operate under the assumption that people are always wanting something from you," Marcus said. "Whether it's a Jordan sneaker or a connection of some sort, you have to operate under the assumption that people are coming around with their hands out. So that's probably the only downfall."
Marcus remains active on social media and has become a celebrity of some sort. He recently dated Scottie Pippen's ex-wife, Larsa Pippen, which made a lot of headlines last year.
