Robin López and his brother Brook made guest appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel LIVE" back in 2019. The López brothers were part of Kimmel's hilarious segment called "Mean Tweets," where celebrities and athletes read insulting tweets about them. Witnessing the genuine reactions of these personalities is what makes the segment funny. The same could be said for the López brothers.
The López brothers read a tweet about how Brook is a better basketball player compared to Robin López. Twitter users didn't hold back as they pointed out how bad of a player Robin is. Instead of retaliating, he changed the meaning of the tweet and gave a hilarious response.
@Nick6Gambee9 tweeted: "If Brook and Robin López are twins, then why is Robin the only one that sucks a**?"
Robin López humorously responded:

"Because i'm adventurous in the bedroom."
It wasn't exactly what the Twitter user was trying to say, but Robin was quick to make light of something insulting.
Looking back at when Robin López and other NBA stars reacted to Mean Tweets
"Mean Tweets" on "Jimmy Kimmel LIVE" is a segment that can go one of two ways. Either the celebrities would respond negatively to the tweets or make jokes instead. Robin López is definitely one of those people who doesn’t easily get affected by the pettiness of people on social media. With that said, let's take a look at some of the other NBA stars and see how they reacted.
Dirk Nowitzki
Obviously, Dirk Nowitzki knows how to appreciate an insult, especially when it's original. Nowitzki played in the NBA for 21 years. The league is full of trash-talking players who go at each other on a nightly basis. At this point, it's safe to say that the German legend has heard it all. But apparently, he isn't familiar with how people talk trash on social media.
@dbellfresh tweeted: "Dirk Nowitzki looks like his sweat smells like mop water and chiwahwah."
An amused Nowitzki responded:
"I don't think I heard that one before, so props to my guy. That was good."
Joel Embiid
As mentioned a while ago, there are those who know how to handle insults. Then there are those who fight fire with fire. Joel Embiid did just that and called out the Twitter user for insulting the way he spoke. Embiid flexed about the fact that he knew how to speak four languages, which gave him the last laugh.
@Jamal tweeted: "I can't listen to Joel Embid interviews .. 2 seconds in I wanna crazy glue my ears shut ..."
Embiid fiercely responded:
"Well let me know when you're able to speak four languages dumba**."
Ben Simmons
If others come up with either harsh or hilarious comebacks, some people also know how to stick with a joke. Ben Simmons read a tweet about how he looks like he's about to fart whenever he rotates the ball. Simmons was chill about the insult and entertained the train of thought.
@6thstringQB tweeted: "Ben Simmons looks like he's holding in a fart every time he passes the ball."
Simmons humorously responded:
"Maybe I am..."
NBA players might be intimidating human beings, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to have fun. It's awesome to see the lighter side of the players' personalities in a segment like "Mean Tweets".
