James Harden’s skillset on the basketball court is unquestionable. From pocket passes to step-back 3-pointers, Harden knows how to score and keep his teammates involved at the same time. However, when it comes to having an NBA body and an elite fashion sense, he's not the first player who comes to mind.
Before the LA Clippers' Game 1 game win over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, Harden showed up in an outfit that wasn't well received by some fans.
The 2018 MVP entered the Crypto.com arena in the most casual way possible, in knee-length shorts and a sleeved shirt. He also left the bottom two buttons of his shirt open.

It's unclear if it was Harden’s way of showing that the game was way more important than his fit, or if it was his fashion statement.

James Harden makes history in Game 1 against Mavericks
James Harden has had a bad playoff reputation. However, there's little doubt that the LA Clippers star is one of the best scorers in league history and entered Game 1 of the opening round of the playoffs against the Mavericks ranked 19th in all-time playoff scoring, just five points behind Scottie Pippen (3,642 points) and 26 behind Dirk Nowitzki (3,663).
Harden passed Pippen in the first quarter and, with a team-high 28 points and eight assists in a 109-97 win, moved ahead of Nowitzki as well. Now with 3,665 points, Harden is in 17th place. Magic Johnson holds 16th place at 3,701.
In the absence of Kawhi Leonard, Harden is taking most of the offensive responsibility for the Clippers.
