At just 27 years old, Giannis Antetokounmpo was the youngest player named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. The two-time MVP was drafted 15th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2013 draft. Take a look at how his height compares to other power forwards drafted by the Bucks.
Giannis Antetokounmpo's height entering the NBA
Giannis Antetokounmpo was 6-foot-9 and just 190 pounds when the Milwaukee Bucks made him the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft.
While Antetokounmpo had raw skills and upside, the pick was viewed as a risk due to his small frame. Scouts felt that Giannis could spend a few more years playing in Europe to develop his game, however, he opted to join the Bucks right away.

Antetokounmpo's numbers improved each year and he was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in his fourth season. That season, he also made his first All-Star Team, All-NBA Team and All-Defensive Team.
In his career, Giannis Antetokounmpo has made six All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams and five All-Defensive teams. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar has won two MVP awards, one Defensive Player of the Year award and one Finals MVP award after winning the 2020-2021 championship.
Now in his 10th season, Giannis has career averages of 22 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 53.5% from the field. On the defensive end, he has provided 1.2 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.
Through seven games in 2022-2023, Antetokounmpo has averaged a career-high 33.6 points on 56.9% shooting from the field, while adding 12.7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.7 blocks. Despite his tremendous accolades, the youngest player to make the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team may still be improving.
Other power forwards drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks
In addition to Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks have drafted several power forwards since the turn of the century. The most notable of these names is Jabari Parker, who was selected second overall in 2014. The former Duke star looked ready to find similar success at the pro level before injuries began to take their toll.
Two years prior, in the 2012 draft, the Bucks selected John Henson with the 14th overall pick. Henson spent eight seasons in the NBA, seven of which came with Milwaukee.
Larry Sanders was selected 15th overall in the 2010 draft. After being awarded a four-year, $44 million contract extension, Sanders left basketball. Although he last played for the Bucks in 2014-2015, the organization paid him all the way through the 2021-2022 season.
Yi Jianlian, who was selected sixth overall in the 2007 draft, joined Milwaukee with high expectations, which he failed to reach. The Chinese Basketball Association star spent just five seasons in the NBA, and just one with the Bucks, before returning overseas where his success continued.
Ersan Ilyasova and Luc Mbah a Moute were selected in the second round of the 2005 and 2008 drafts, respectively. Both were able to carve out lengthy careers as role players. Ilyasova spent 13 years in the NBA, including nine with Milwaukee. Mbah a Moute was only with the Bucks for five seasons, however, he did spend 12 years in the NBA.
