The Golden State Warriors host the New Orleans Pelicans at the Chase Center on Tuesday (Oct. 29) as both teams face off for a two-game series, both in California. The Dubs come on the back of a 112-104 loss at the hands of the LA Clippers, while the Pelicans were trounced 123-103 by the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Warriors will be without superstar Steph Curry as he continues to recover from a left peroneal strain. The team's think-tank revealed that he would be reevaluated on Friday, making him an absentee for Tuesday's game and potentially their second matchup against New Orleans later this week.
The guard sustained the injury during the team's skirmish against the Clippers. MRI revealed no structural damage much to Golden State's relief, but they will miss their four-time NBA champion for two games on the bounce.
The Pelicans will miss the services of offseason acquisition Dejounte Murray. The guard successfully underwent a hand surgery and is expected to miss four to six weeks. Despite the absence of the two big names, the contest is still expected to generate eyeballs as it pits a new-look Warriors unit against the Zion Williamson-led New Orleans.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Golden State Warriors: Player to watch out for: Zion Williamson
Much of the Pelicans' chances of making a dent on Tuesday depends on Zion Williamson. The forward comes off a quiet outing against the Blazers propping up just 14 points, three rebounds, and four assists. With Golden State missing out on massive firepower in Curry's absence, New Orleans will hope that they can capitalize on the sharpshooter's absence and hope that their franchise superstar gets going alongside CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram.
Williamson has played two of the three games so far averaging 15.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists. He is expected to shoulder the load on both ends of the floor in Murray's absence. Only time will tell if he can put up a game-winning performance on Tuesday.
