Ian Jackson is one of the biggest names in the world of high school basketball. Listed at 6'5", Jackson has been playing with Cardinal Hayes High School in New York.
He has represented USA Basketball at the FIBA U16 Americas and 2022 U17 World Championships. In 2022, Jackson averaged 11.9 points and 4.6 rebounds over the course of seven games.
A gifted athlete with high-level physical skills, Jackson is a massive get for the Tar Heels. He has officially become the highest-ranked prospect to commit to North Carolina since Cole Anthony in the 2019 class.
Jackson has the tools to be a gifted threat at the collegiate level. He's at his best when attacking the basket and can finish at the rim with authority. He has also shown the ability to step outside and stretch the floor.
