Ja Morant’s “Baby Mama” is none other than Kadre Dixon, the mother of his daughter Kaari Jaidyn Morant. Morant and Dixon reportedly started dating in 2017 when the point guard was still playing for Murray State. They made their relationship official via an Instagram post in 2018.

While Morant was wowing basketball fans, Dixon, also known as KK, was turning heads as a basketball and volleyball player from Frisk University. The two had their daughter in 2019 but soon broke up.

They’re reportedly on good terms as co-parents of Kaari Morant. She is also known as the CEO of Dixon Brands LLC. KK Dixon also made a name for herself as an author. Her coloring book entitled “Kaari and Kree’s Ultimate Coloring and Activity Book” was a hit among children.

Some fans were curious about “Baby Mama” after Ja Morant’s recent controversial gun-toting livestream post on Instagram. The Memphis Grizzlies superstar had a viral clip of himself flexing his gun while inside a nightclub in Denver.

Morant was then suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies for two games for the incident. He then publicly apologized for his actions before taking part in a counseling program in Florida.

The NBA handed out an eight-game punishment to Morant just as he was leaving the Florida facility. Morant was eligible to play on March 20 against the Dallas Mavericks but sat out the game as he was still trying to ramp up his conditioning.

Tonight, after a nine-game absence, he returned to action against the Houston Rockets.

Ja Morant came off the bench to help the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Houston Rockets

Ja Morant was back in front of the Memphis Grizzlies home crowd against the Houston Rockets. In a move that was somewhat expected, the Grizzlies' coach Taylor Jenkins chose to start him off the bench.

“G12” finished the game with 17 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 24 minutes. He had a game-high +17 net rating.

The Memphis Grizzlies plan to continue their strategy of easing Morant back into action. He will be part of the bench mob until he completely gets his rhythm and game in shape.
