Lindy Waters III buried a 3-point shot at the buzzer to give the Golden State Warriors a win over the LA Clippers on Saturday night. Waters also finished with a team-high 15 points on 5-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc to help the Warriors get the 91-90 victory at the Stan Sheriff Center in Hawaii.

With 1.6 seconds left in the game and the Clippers up by two points, Reece Beekman inbounded the ball and passed it off to Waters. The ball was tipped but it still fell on Waters' hand, who sank the shot from beyond the arc as teammates mobbed him afterward.

But who is the 27-year-old swingman? The Warriors acquired Waters from the OKC Thunder at the 2024 NBA draft, parting ways with the 52nd pick. They would later get back the selection, who turned out to be Quinten Post, and signed him to a two-way contract.

Lindy Waters III played four years of college basketball for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, making one appearance in the NCAA tournament. Waters averaged 10.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in his final season at Oklahoma State before entering the 2020 NBA draft.

The swingman went undrafted and signed with the Enid Outlaws of The Basketball League. He then agreed to join a Spanish team in the second division, but his contract was voided. He signed with the OKC Blue in the NBA G League with the Thunder giving him an opportunity to play his rookie year during the 2021-22 season.
