Adams' best season was in his freshman year in the 2011-12 season, where he averaged 4.2 points and 1.2 assists.

Following his playing days, he became a coach at New Mexico Junior College. There, he spent four seasons before finally deciding to return to Texas Tech and join his father. He's currently serving as the Director of Player Development for the men's basketball squad and could be next in line for the head coaching spot.
