A documentary film about LeBron James' childhood and high school basketball career titled "Shooting Stars" will be released in 2023 and 5-star prospect Mookie Cook was selected to play the role of the high school version of LeBron.
Cook is currently one of the top high school students in the US and is expected to join the Oregon Ducks come college. He currently attends Compass Prep High School in Chandler, Arizona, and stands at 6-foot-7 and weighs 200 pounds.
According to 247 Sports, Cook is presently ranked as the best recruit in Arizona and the fourth-best prospect overall in the class of 2023. After Bol Bol in 2018, he is now the second-highest recruit to commit to Oregon.
Although there aren't any trailers or official announcements of when "Shooting Stars" will be released, there's a picture on social media showcasing a scene that recreates Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James' duel in high school.

Looking back at LeBron James' high school years
Even during his younger years, LeBron James already had greatness written all over him. He was just a kid from Akron, Ohio, who attended St. Vincent-St. Mary's and played basketball his entire high school basketball career there.
James was given the moniker "The Chosen One" when he was younger for a number of reasons. Firstly, he was physically superior to other high school students at the time and could outperform any ordinary adult because of his outstanding skills.
On three separate occasions, James received Ohio's Mr. Basketball honors. Additionally, he was part of the USA Today All-USA First Team. Furthermore, he made history by becoming the first junior to win the Gatorade National Player of the Year for men's basketball.
LeBron James' high school stats were ridiculous and closely resembled NBA stats. For the teenage James, skipping college and entering the 2003 draft outright was a no-brainer. Ultimately, this move turned out to be the best as he was drafted first overall by his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.
Since entering the NBA, LBJ has lived up to the hype and exceeded all expectations of him. He's a four-time NBA champion, four-time Finals MVP, four-time league MVP, and 18-time All-Star. His next biggest achievement that everyone is anticipating is for him to beat the all-time points record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
