Ty Jerome’s girlfriend, Alex Marquis, has been with the Golden State Warriors point guard since 2017. She is his college sweetheart and has been a constant support throughout his basketball journey.

Born Alexandra Michelle Marquis, she formerly played European football, volleyball and basketball at Oakton High School, where she graduated in 2016. She was a teammate of older sister Virginia Alysa while playing for the Oakton Cougars hoops team.

Part of her excellence in basketball and volleyball was due to her 5-foot-7 height, athleticism and smarts. Unfortunately, she didn’t continue playing when she studied at the University of Virginia.

Ty Jerome’s girlfriend graduated with distinction in 2020 after completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science. She is very private but couldn’t help herself celebrate with her boyfriend when he led the University of Virginia Cavaliers to their first NCAA championship. Marquis posted some of those photos on her Instagram account.

There’s very little information on Alex Marquis, but it’s safe to assume she's happy with the sudden exposure Jerome is getting with the Golden State Warriors. With Steph Curry previously sidelined with a shoulder injury, the former UVA star finally had an opportunity to showcase his stuff for the defending NBA champs.

Ty Jerome’s biggest moment for the Golden State Warriors came on Dec. 28 last year when the NBA champions stunned the Utah Jazz, 112-107. The Warriors didn’t have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Andre Iguodala.

Head coach Steve Kerr was desperate for his second-stringers to deliver. Jerome played for 30 minutes and finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. His 3-point bomb with 5:18 left in the game gave the Warriors a lead they never relinquished.

Ty Jerome also grabbed a crucial rebound and dished an important assist to Donte DiVincenzo to keep the Jazz at bay. So far, that was arguably the best game of his four-year NBA career.

The former University of Virginia superstar played 12 games last month with all the injuries the Warriors have been dealing with. Kerr’s squad is starting to get healthy this month. Andre Iguodala, Andrew Wiggins and Steph Curry have all returned.

With all those veterans around, minutes will be hard to come by. Kerr has allowed his bench to play despite the struggles, particularly when his team was decimated by injuries. His rotation, however, will start to tighten up as they try to push for at least an outright playoff berth. Ty Jerome’s minutes could go down significantly.

Jerome is presently averaging 17.9 MPG. Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, Donte DiVincenzo and even Moses Moody are expected to see their minutes go up when available as the season moves on.

Alex Marquis could see his boyfriend have more stints with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G-League.
