The NBA Summer League has wrapped up, with the bout between the Houston Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers as the final game on Sunday. Only one game remains in the tournament, the championship game. The Miami Heat will take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, Jul. 22.
There have been a good number of top performers for the Summer League. However, one player has stood out among the rest. Brooklyn Nets forward Jalen Wilson was named the MVP for the tournament. He played five games in the summer and put up 21.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
Wilson shot 47.3% from the field and was a sniper from long range. He knocked down 55% of his shots from beyond the arc.

Wilson is a second-year player for the Nets. He was drafted 51st overall in 2023 and initially signed a two-way deal with the team. Last season, he played 43 games for Brooklyn and put up 5.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
His shooting for the team wasn't as impressive as how he made it look during this year's summer tournament. He made 42.5% of his field goals and 32.4% of his attempts from beyond the arc.

How did Bronny James compare to Jalen Wilson at the NBA Summer League?
After getting drafted by the LA Lakers, many are curious as to how Bronny James will perform in the league. Fans could see flashes of what James could do during the NBA Summer League.
The former USC guard only played four games for the Lakers over the summer. He sat out his final game, which was against the Chicago Bulls. In the four games he played, the young prospect averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
His first two games weren't a pretty sight for most fans. James struggled shooting and missed his first 15 attempts from beyond the arc. Luckily for him, he bounced back and had two good games.
Their coach, Dane Johnson, shared an honest take on James' performance over the summer.
"He had two pretty good games, last two," Johnson said. "I think it's just going to help him going into the summer so we can work on different things with him. Just that confidence and knowing he can play at this level. It's still going to take a lot of time and a lot of reps."
Fans will now look forward to how Bronny will play in the NBA and G-League this season.
